God's Plan for Your Life
1. God had a
plan for your life before you were born. We must believe in God’s plan.
"All the days ordained
for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139)
“You saw me before I was
born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was
recorded in your book!” (Psalm
139:16)
2. God loves
you and He wants the best for you. We must trust in God’s plan.
For I know the plans I have
for you,’ declared the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans
to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11).
3. We can
choose to ignore God’s plan and live our own plan. God’s ways are not our ways.
“Trust in the Lord with all
your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge
Him and He shall direct your paths”. (Proverbs 3:5)
4. Our plan
would be based on our limited knowledge and this imperfect world. It will be
filled with disappointment, defeat, frustration and failure.
When
the enemy says it’s impossible for you to do what God has put in your heart,
remember that ‘all things are possible with God’ (Matthew 19:26, Luke 18:27).
5. Satan is
the ruler of this world and wants to steal, kill and destroy you.
“Do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God”. (Romans 12:1)
6. Which plan should
you choose? God’s plan or your own
plan?
When the enemy lies and says
you can’t, just remember that God’s Word says ‘you can do all things’ that God
wants you to do, ‘through Christ who strengthens you’ (Phillipians 4:13).
7. God has an
agreement called the ‘New Covenant’. If we accept Christ as Our Savior and
confess our sins, we will be forgiven for our sins. We can start to live God’s
plan for our lives. Christ will always be with us to help us.
“We have the mind of
Christ”. We also have the Word of God to teach us about God’s promises for our
life. When our thinking lines up with the Word of God, we are in a position to
walk by faith and do what God is leading us to do. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
8. God
provides the Holy Spirit as a guide to live out His plan.
God’s plan and purpose in
the lives of His children is “His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12)
9. God
provides us with spiritual/supernatural gifts for His plan to be successful.
KNOW YOUR GIFTS – “As each
one has received a gift(s), minister it to one another, as good stewards of the
manifold grace of God”. (1Peter 4:10)
Pay very close attention to how the Holy Spirit has gifted you. God's plan for you is directly related to
the gifts that He has placed within you. It is good to know that you will
be successful at using your gifts to do whatever God has planned for you to do.
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)
10. God wants
you to be a good steward with your gifts and to use them to produce good fruit.
