God's Promise
Jeremiah 33:14-16
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to
the house of Israel and the house of Judah. In those days and at that time I
will cause a righteous Branch to
spring up for David, and he shall
execute justice and righteousness in the land. In those days Judah will be
saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will
be called:
‘The Lord
is our righteousness.’"
God
fulfilled His promise to send a Messiah. Our Savior will be without sin
and come from David's lineage. He will bring justice by paying the penalty for
our sins and making us right with God.
We now have salvation and eternal life. As children of God, we will be
protected and cared for by God's love and blessings. Jesus is our Lord and
our mediator to God the Father.
From a long term perspective, once we confess our sins and
commit to avoid sin and accept the Messiah’s payment for our sins, we will be redeemed
and we will exist for eternity with God.
From a short term perspective, our sins are forgiven; we get
to know Our Father more than ever before (ongoing); God’s Spirit of Truth directs
our existence and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ resides in us. Our body,
mind, heart and soul are “under new management”. We are a new creation … a
creation of love. Jesus has reclaimed our inheritance as children of God and we
can live as royalty in Our Father's Kingdom right now loving one another and doing
God’s will.
·
Do we see ourselves as royalty in God's Kingdom?
·
Do we realize that life eternal starts NOW, not when
we die?
·
Do we continue to live an earthly and carnal life or
have we renewed our minds to live a life of freedom from the prison of sin,
illness, worry, stress, etc. in God's Kingdom?
·
Do we evaluate every thought that comes into our
minds and resist the lies of the enemy?
·
Have we agreed to live under God's umbrella of love,
joy, peace and blessings?
·
Do we always share God's love with others?
·
Are we receiving the blessings that God bestows
exceedingly and abundantly to His children?
Have we
accepted the fulfillment of God's Promise?
