IN HIS FAVOR
Isaiah 61:1-2
The LORD God's spirit is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim release for captives, and liberation for prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and a day of vindication for our God, to comfort all who mourn."

Then (after reading Isaiah's words), Christ rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on Him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. (Luke 4:20)  Jesus was saying that He was fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy.

Unmerited favor has been given to us by the Father through His loving grace ... through Christ. If we believe, confess, repent, trust and accept Jesus as Our Savior, God's promises are all fulfilled in the New Covenant Agreement.
Salvation is ours. All debts are forgiven, all those in bondage are set free and all losses are restored ... the ultimate 'Year of Jubilee' (the year of the Lord’s favor).

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and you are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." (1Peter 1:8-9)

“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For He says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, NOW is the time of God’s favor, NOW is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:1-2).

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted..." (Matthew 5)

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalms 147:3)

"Jesus came to proclaim liberty to the captives." (Luke 4:18).

"Knowing the Truth will set one at liberty - free from sin, free from condemnation, and free from death." (Romans 6:22; 8:1–2).

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16, ESV).

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:3)
