We Have the Mind of Christ
“We do, however, speak
a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the
rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God
destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age
understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of
glory. However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what
God has prepared for those who love him." these are the things God has
revealed to us by his Spirit. The
Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a
person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one
knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is
not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may
understand what God has freely given us. This
is what we speak, not in words taught to us by human wisdom but in words taught by
the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The
person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit
of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they
are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes
judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human
judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
(1Corin 2)
We have faith in natural things through our 5 senses. We
have faith in the supernatural through spiritual faith. “God has given every
person 'the measure of faith'.” This is the first of many spiritual gifts we
receive through the grace of God to do His will. (Romans 12:3) We have the mind
of Christ. Christ sustains our faith. We are new creations governed by
spiritual faith in the supernatural world. We are not bound by the natural laws
because the supernatural Laws of the Kingdom supersede these natural laws. We
are people of faith. We need spiritual faith to understand and trust in His supernatural
nature. We are believers. Many times, we ask for things that have already been given.
We just need to acknowledge what we have in Christ then we need to act upon it.
Secret: if you
are a ‘believer’ in Christ then you don’t need to increase in faith, you just
need to use your faith by acknowledging that Christ is within you and that we
have the same power that resurrected Christ from the dead. If you don't know
what you have you can't operate. God’s people suffer due to lack of knowledge. “I
pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening
your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.” (Philemon
1-6)
Faithfulness is a Fruit of the Spirit. It is the nature of a
believer to have faith by abiding as a branch in the vine of Christ. Allow
Jesus to work through you so you can bear much fruit and glorify God.
John 1:2 says the anointing is in me through Christ. Christ
is sufficient. We just need to step forward and act in the Word of God. We
don't need more faith or more power. We just need to learn how to use the faith
we have. It is like a muscle and it gets stronger the more I act on the word
through faith. This spiritual faith through Christ will supersede all other
physical laws e.g. sins, physical and mental illness, demons, financial
worries, anxiety, stress, etc. Without spiritual faith we cannot please God.
Closing Prayer: No
matter what the question is to anything in your life, the answer is always God?
We must strive to get to know Him well. Talk with Him in prayer, read the
Bible, attend a church, watch Christian TV channels, read Christian books,
listen to Christian music, watch YouTube sermons, read a daily verse with comments
from your daily devotional, join a Bible Study to talk about God with others
who know Him, etc. You will get to know who He really is and you will love Him,
respect Him, thank Him, trust Him, praise Him, etc. You will learn that His
greatest gift to us is Jesus Christ and that Jesus will help us to escape from
our physical and emotional prisons of deception and lies. He will help us to
acknowledge our imperfect ways, to make the right choices and He will restore
our relationship with the Father by forgiving all of our sins - past, present
and future. He will take residence within our heart and soul. He will help us
to renew our minds by resisting the temptations that drag us back to our 'old
ways'. He will fill us with the Holy Spirit and show us how to use our loving faith
and put it into action. Amen
