Give God the Glory

Give God the Glory

2 Samuel 6:1-5
The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
1 David again brought together all the able young men of Israel: 30,000.
2 He and all his men went to Baalah in Judah to bring up from there the Ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim on the ark. 3 They set the Ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart 4 with the ark of God on it, and Ahio was walking in front of it.
5 David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might before the Lord, with castanets, harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.

ACKNOWLEDGING OUR GOD
King David summoned 30,000 young men to move the Ark of the Covenant.
ALL of Israel celebrated with ALL their might while in 'the presence of God'.
In today’s world, do we honor, respect and glorify God like David did?

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow but we have changed.
Our view of God has changed. Getting to know our Almighty God goes beyond intellectual awareness (“even the demons know God”). It is more than facts, it is the “TRUTH that will set us free”. (John 8:32)

We need to know God in our heart, love Him and always turn to Him with unshakable trust. We need to accept His greatest love gift, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We need to receive and be filled by the Holy Spirit. This will set us free from our prison of sin and give us eternal life.

We need to get to know His ways and the principles of Life in His Kingdom. Our knowledge of God will continue to grow every day as we study His Word and converse with Him through prayer on a continuous basis.

If we do not know God, then we are at risk. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) We are at the mercy of the enemy and this world.
“The enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy.” (John 10:10)

To see God, we must look at Jesus. To properly live in His Kingdom, we must be filled by the Holy Spirit of God and utilize His Gifts He has given us to help each other learn about His Kingdom on earth.

Unless we know God, we will never experience the fullness of His love, His grace, His blessings and His protection. Once we know God, all we will want to do is glorify Him, thank Him for all things. We will be full of joy, peace and love.
