You are not of this world
Jeremiah
23:1-6
23 “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of
my pasture!” declares the Lord.2 Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of
Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered
my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow
punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the Lord. 3 “I myself
will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have
driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be
fruitful and increase in number. 4 I will place shepherds over them who will
tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be
missing,” declares the Lord.
5 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will raise up for
David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and
right in the land. 6 In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in
safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.
God says: "The
shepherds who care for my people" are destroying, scattering and driving
my flock away. I personally will bring my people back home. I will give them
new shepherds to care for my children who will bear fruit and increase in
number. They will no longer be afraid or terrified and not one will be missing.
They will
have a new King who is wise and just.
He is "the Lord, Our Righteous Savior".
Our lives are governed by our 5 senses and we only emphasize
the things that we sense in the natural world. Our Faith takes us way beyond
this. It is a hope in an invisible God whose love is the evidence of things that
we do not see. If we believe in God, then we have to believe in the spiritual
and the supernatural world. God
wants to share His love by having us live in His spiritual kingdom now and by
blessing us supernaturally, i.e. forgiveness of sins, good health, miracles,
peace that surpasses understanding, joy, etc.
All of this was made possible by Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Savior, who made 'all things right' when He died on the cross, was buried and
resurrected from the grave. He resides in us and the Spirit of God leads us to
use His fruit and His spiritual gifts to help and love each other. With Christ,
we renew our minds to see our existence through the eyes of God. This new way
of thinking must permeate our day-to-day lives … nothing is impossible … expect
the unexpected.
We must be careful to choose God's Will and not to place our
faith on the lies of the enemy that contradict God's Word and create prison
walls that keep us from experiencing 'The Truth' that will allow us to be free
to live as citizens in God's supernatural Kingdom.
