Psalm 8
1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all
the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 2 From the lips of
children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to
silence the foe and the avenger. 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of
your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is
man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly
beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet: 7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of
the field, 8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the
paths of the seas. 9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the
earth!
Majestic ... having or showing impressive beauty or dignity.

statuesque, Olympian, marvelous, heroic
What do you think of when you hear,
"The Majesty of God"
Some things that come
to mind are:
the universe, the
planets, the stars, the sky, the clouds, a rainbow, the oceans, etc.
If we can imagine the MOST AWESOME GOD, the creator and
ruler of ALL things, just know that this concept of God is only a tiny drop of
water in the infinite ocean of what our Majestic God really is. In order for
our limited minds to understand our unlimited God we need to look at our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
What do we see when we look at Jesus?
We see love, gentleness, love, compassion, humbleness, love,
peace, joy, hope, faith, love, authority, patience, forgiveness, the cross,
redemption, miracles, healing, resurrection, companionship, love, etc.
Jesus said, "Anyone
who has seen me has seen the Father." (John 14:9)
Do you realize how lucky you are?
In our High Tech world, you hear a lot about SmartPhones
like the IPhone or Android phones.
Please know that all of us have been given the smartest of
all phones ... the G-Phone ... the God Phone. To activate this phone,
all we have to do is fold our hands or get on our knees or bow our head or just
close our eyes.
We now have instant access to our Majestic God. A God who
loves us more than we can ever imagine. A God who wants to give us the desires
of our heart. A God who takes
responsibility for all of our cares and worries and provides the best solution
possible. A God who sees us as His children ... as heirs to His kingdom ... He
sees us as royalty.
What do we have to do to live in the
Kingdom of God?
All we have to do is accept His love, give up our personal
desires, be humble and give Him total control of our lives and accept Christ as
our Savior to benefit from all of these blessings.
I know this sounds too easy but the most difficult part is letting go and placing our complete trust and
dependence in God.
