Psalm 105:1-6
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his
name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to Him, sing praise
to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts
of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His
face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles and the judgments He
pronounced, you His servants, the descendants of Abraham, His chosen ones, the
children of Jacob.
How
do we praise God?
First, we must acknowledge that
‘HE
IS’. (Moses asked God, ‘who are you?’, God said “I AM”). We need to realize
that no matter what our concept is of the greatest possible being, that it is
only a tiny drop of water in the infinite ocean of what God truly IS. Our
limited minds can never begin to understand Our Father in Heaven. This is one
of the reasons why we need Jesus. If we know and accept Jesus then we know God.
We will see and find that God is All Loving, All Merciful, All Caring. He
always wants the best for us. He will always fill us with His unconditional love
and blessings. He loves you so much, He is always ready to die for you.
Since God will not ‘force’
Himself upon any of us, because it will interfere with our Free Will, we must
decide that we want to know Him by accepting Christ as Our Lord and Savior. Once
we see God in action, we will be amazed at how privileged we are to receive
God’s infinite love. At first, we will think that the resolutions we are
getting are just a coincidence. But when we realize that it is truly the work
of God, then we will begin to realize that we have tapped into the supernatural
… i.e. we are finally beginning to ‘know’ God and we are now living in His
Kingdom of Heaven. We will know for a fact that He exists, our love for Our
Father will increase every moment and we will always want to be by His side and
replace our will and our lives with His will and the beautiful life He has
planned for us. These are the ‘Keys to the Kingdom’.
At times we will hide behind
a curtain of earthly emotions. Sometimes we are ashamed to be in God’s
presence. We should always focus our minds and hearts on our loving and
forgiving God who wants us just the way we are by His side. Every day, every
moment is a new beginning.
Psalm 105:37-45
He brought out Israel, laden with
silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered. Egypt was glad
when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them. He spread out a
cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night. They asked, and he
brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven. He opened the
rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert. For he
remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham. He brought out his
people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; he gave them the
lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for — that
they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the Lord.
How
does God take care of us?
God takes special care of us
when we choose to put Him in the driver’s seat of our lives, i.e. when our will
becomes His will. Accepting Christ as our Savior allows us to receive God’s love,
forgiveness, guidance, protection and abundance of blessings. We will be so joyful
and thankful for all He gives us. This will open our hearts to always listen to
His direction and guidance and to receive more and more love and blessings. We
will learn to trust Him, obey Him and embrace Him at every possible moment and then, we will wonder
why we didn’t do this all of our lives. Yikes!
